WOMTECH: ROCIO OSORIO
AFR SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST
What do you think are the current challenges in the IT Industry?
Love it or loathe it, IT is in a continuous change. Every time more, we have to downsize the time to deliver in order to provide a faster service with enough quality. You need to be aware of the business necessities, what is in the market, and always go one step in advance.
Do you think that diversity and gender equality are already a reality?
Even though in Spain we have achieved a lot regarding equality, we still have along way to go. We should not downplay this topic
and keep up a constant work. We have to solve this issue from the roots; starting from education. But in any case in the EMEA IT Digital Center we are lucky to work in a very rich environment. Thanks to the big variety of cultures and different kinds of people,
you can take advantage and enrich yourself while becoming more open-minded. I am proud of how my company handle this topic.
When you face challenges, what encourages you?
I really like to face new challenges. They give me the opportunity to learn and improve my skills. It is refreshing to change the way of work and see different points of view from time to time. I love challenges where I can learn from different business cases. Without challenges, the work will be more linear.
Who is your role model? Who inspires you?
I do not have a specific person who inspires me; I have a lot. I have always admired the people around me, from my family to my
colleagues and friends. I think you always need to do things that you really believe in, to be successful.
What are the most compelling qualities of great leaders?
Great leaders must be open to learn, respectful and supportive with people.
They should also have good skills for communication
